Arrived in New Orleans

Shaved my head - well pretty close to it - the other day in anticipation of the bike ride and a lack of barbers on the river bank.

Mom my was woried I'd burn my scalp.

And wouldn't you know it? We made good time to New Orleans. So much so that we can explore the city this afternoon. So mom, don't worry, I sunscreened my scalp, the back of my neck and the top of my feet.

    Glad to hear you slathered on the sunscreen. Wouldn't that be fun...having to wear a helmet with a sunburned head! You sure wouldn't need it around here. Finally took Bear for a walk around 6 pm because the rain had stopped. Temp had slid into the 40's and very windy.Came back with frozen ears. Enough already!
